Technologies We Use

  • Azure Synapse Analytics
  • SQL Data Warehouse
  • SQL Server
  • Microsoft Access

A DBMS is a software that allows you to store, modify and extract organized data from a computer storage system. There are all kinds of DBMS systems out there – relational or not. Some store data in tables, some in flat files. Some allow developers to easily export or see the data. Others are encrypted in a special language and are not easily editable. Some are configured for transactional data – and others for reporting and visualization.

At Cornerstone, we love data – and we especially love organizing it and analyzing it. We have experience with all types of systems, but we mainly work with Microsoft database technology, including SQL Server, Azure SQL, and Access. Microsoft has made significant investments in their database tools. According to Gartner, Microsoft SQL Server is growing faster than any of its competitors with $6 billion per year in revenue.

What good is your data if you can’t use it to make decisions?

Our favorite part of the creating a database might be accessing the data for analysis and reporting. We have created everything from quick real-time dashboards for managers to historical trend reports for C-Suite employees. Our team knows you need to have the data you need at the moment you need it. You don’t want to depend on someone being in the office to produce that report, and you can’t afford a full-time employee whose only job is to gather data manually to create those reports.

We work with your team to make the best choice of reporting tool – we have even created our own tools for merging editable documents with data automatically!

Data Tools
  • Azure Data Factory
  • Azure Analysis Services
  • DAX
  • Power Query M
  • M Query
  • .NET (VB, C#, ASP, MVC)
  • Visual Basic for Applications
  • Crystal Syntax/Basic Syntax

At Cornerstone we’ve specialized in data tools and languages that help us interact with your data. As Microsoft Partners, we are backed by some of the brightest technologists on the planet – with access to secure, stable, mature protocols and support when needed.

We are early adopters of Azure technologies, including Azure Data Factory – allowing us to quickly setup Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) and ELT processes to securely ingest data from various sources into a single warehouse or data mart for you to use in your decision-making. Using smart data tools allows us to focus our time on your analysis and visualizations rather than on expensive ETL processes dependent on expensive teams to support.

  • Websites
  • Console Apps
  • Web Apps
  • Mobile Apps
  • Restful API Web Services
  • Cloud
  • Document Imaging Archiva

We have created all kinds of apps – things that run on your laptop computer, programs that run at a specified time on a server or in the cloud, web applications that manage a process for your external users, and more recently mobile apps.

You may be reading about those types of applications and wondering – how do I know what is the best solution for my problem? We work with each of our clients to determine the best solution for their application. Based on our conversations with you and your team, we’ll make a recommendation and give you all the pros and cons so you can make the best decision for your company.

  • Azure
  • Go Daddy
  • Host Gator

Every time you access a website, you are interacting with someone’s hosting service. Simply put, a hosting service is a business that provides the technologies and services you need to store or access your website, mobile app, or database. Some of our clients choose to host their own internet solutions – but this can be cost prohibitive for small to mid-size businesses.

Services like Microsoft’s Azure allow small to mid-size businesses have access to cloud-based applications for a fraction of the cost because it eliminates the capital expense of buying the hardware and hiring someone else to set it up and keep it running.

Most of our clients who use the cloud with us choose Microsoft’s Azure. Once you read about their compliance, easy integration with development tools, and security, it’s not hard to see why we prefer it over many other options out there.
